The logitech receiver failed after around about 18 months 2 years and was now obsolete

I cant say the more expensive wireless set performed better although it was somewhat more solidly built but that mattered little in the end with the failure of the receiver which never had great range not as good as the trust despite being a large sitonthedesk type with a usb cord to the computer

Not sure how long the batteries will last as there are no onoff switches on the keyboard or the mouse

However since the mouse needs to be woken up by left clicking after the computer is awoken from sleep mode i am hoping the keyboard also shuts down when not being used

The mouse is super very well designed and the wheel is smooth and quiet unlike the logitech ex110 which was rather noisy
