Pros & Cons
Pros
This is a great ubti to keep on your toolbox for a rainy day. I am blown away by this thing. Visual sound really delivers with this compact and cost-effective gadget.
All of my pedals are true bypass. It sounds like you don't have any other pedals between you and our amp. Does exactly what it says, and is keeping a 10-pedal chain strong with just a onespot.
The clarity and brightness are back, and even better than it is when i plug the guitar into the amp directly. Seems to make an even bigger difference with single coils, as the highs come through splendidly.
Cons
The nut around the power connector was stripped and was rattling around the box.

For under a 50 bill this is a nobrainer
Best 50 ive put towards my rig
I found this for fifty something bucks and bought it
Great price for this device and since it is so small it took up next to no space on my pedal board
Competitiveness
I cant say it made a huge difference as ive reaches the point of diminishing returns
I did a comparison of guitar straight into amp vs pedal board
There are a number of buffers available that are similar to the truetone
