Pros
They are wide enough and long enough for a whole salmon fillet. Soak them for a couple hours prior to cooking. I do only a short soaking or maybe only let the bottom soak, but these held up to gas grill heat very well for me.

Even on an occasion i accidentally left the grill on until the gas ran out it never caught on fire to my surprise only charred somewhat

The recipie i followed goes like this place the cedar plank on your grill and blacken the underside a bit
