Pros
The brightness is good. The glow is soft and restful but can easily be ramped up to a higher level that lights up a wide area. Turning the light on doesn't light up the room or disturb the bedmate.
Has a flat black matte rubber skin. From its touch base for light strength selection to its bendable arm. It's not very long in the neck, so for bedside use you'll want to put it on a table that's a few inches higher than your mattress.
Cons
The goose neck version of this lamp is not very good.

When you are moving the neck around

Its not very long in the neck so for bedside use youll want to put it on a table thats a few inches higher than your mattress

This is a fine desk lamp but contrary to the picture description it does not have the ability to adjust the temperature of the light

You are able to dim the light but full output is limited as per the specs so anything less is rather dim indeed

Since i got this item on an amazon deal then i foresee it should give me easily value for my money but if not im covered by an 18 months warranty
