I bought this product just for the sake of its mic adapter because my onboard mic is full of static noise so my comment will be solely on the mic performance

Overall the sound is decent which no difference to my onboard sound card within the laptop

The only con is that in the side of a laptop i am always conscious that a knock will break it and my usb port however this is a cheaper solution not necessarily what i would buy for a long term fix id get the port replaced
