The straws are just fine. Easy peasy. It's easy to clean which is great because i am using it nonstop. Exactly as pictured.

Keeps my drink cold without sweating. Got this for my iced coffee. Mine seems to sweat more than other reviews left.

The silicone protector on the outside does not insulate and seems to be just a decorative item. The silicone sleeve provides zero grip.
