Pros
These units are thoughtfully designed, versatile and rugged. It lead me to solve a basic issue i had and it was repaired as well. Works well and serves my needs.
Tripplett 2030 is a decent little meter, inexpensive, reasonably accurate and precise.
This multimeter is sturdy, compact, and meets each of my requirements. Most other generic low cost multi meters are not cat certified. The case seems like it would protect the meter if it was dropped.
Has a cover that folds over nicely with a slot that only closes if the dial is in the off position. Has a spot for the magnet strap to attach. Small enough to fit in any glovebox or console without a second thought.
The probes are supple, and there is a temperature measuring thermistor probe. Use with any type k thermocouple.
Cons
Plastic case is thin and fragile. Biggest problem is short leads which do not disconnect from the meter.

And i have a truly laboratorygrade bench meter also from one of the mostrespected brands
I have a topoftheline handheld multimeter from one of the major brands
Although rated for 600v i wouldnt use this for over 277v
