Quality

I wish it would've come with the mounting screws, but still an unbeatable deal.

Update nov 2016:for me , the mro works best with the rs regulate mount.

With the current mount, it sits too low to be used with any backup sights on an ar.

I had an aimpont pro mounted on my ar before replacing it with the mro.

Competitiveness

Lastly, unless you are leo or military, i would also suggest also comparing it to some of the primary arms / holosun optics off...  Read More

It's a high-quality optic priced reasonably well.

When shooting with both eyes open, the closer you are to the target, the more noticeable the magnification becomes.

On a practical level, it doesn't really affect function for me, though if i were using it more in very close quarters, i might have more of an issue with it.

Regardless, for $500 +/-, it's a little disappointing considering i've used holosun optics that were less than half the cost of the mro that didn't have these issues, are perfectly clear and close to, if not as durable.

In certain situations there is some glare to this optic and if you crank up the brightness too much in darker spaces, you will notice this, and in some cases, a halo effect.

Mro is the solution if you want rapid target acquisition in all lighting conditions, and don't care about magnification.

Perhaps the most significant downside of the mro is that optically, it's ok, but not particularly amazing: it's a very simple contraption that uses a reflection of a side-mounted led - and so, if you crank it up to maximum brightness in a dark place, you're going to see a lot more glare than you'd expect from a scope.

While i was adjusting the scope trying to figure out the best location on the rifle the screws are already grinded to the point hat it's impossible to unscrew the scope.
