I settled on the cyclops case after reading about their independent testing of the product to meet milspec standards reviewing online testimonials and watching their promotional videos of the product in action ie driving over the phone in a car while it is recording video

The top screen protector frame locks into the larger clamshell piece that encases the majority of the phone and has a pretty substantial lip giving good clearance between the screen and the edge of the lip if it were to fall and hit screen side down

Two things to note that kept me from rating this 5 stars1 wireless charging will not work with this case

While its functional and only slightly impacts touchscreen sensitivity it causes a strange oily rainbow sheen to appear in certain areas of the phone and doesnt seem to be particularly resilient after almost 2 weeks of use it is already permanently scuffed and scratched

Im close to removing the protector out of the top frame piece and going with either a traditional filmbased screen protector or one of the newer tempered glass protectors

I had to use a flatgrad screwdriver to pull the case apart
