While they do occasionally flicker at the lowest dim setting it is not much

Dimming works fairly well they go down to about 20 and then just cut out

They will not look right shining out the sides if you have a fixture that is all glass or frosted glass on the outside

We added insulation and the halogens would get so hot they would overheat and turn off
