Pros & Cons
Pros
The trend cdj 300 * comes complete with a bush for dovetail joints but said bush wouldnt fit my * pof 1400 ace router base. The easiest way to do it is to take off the base plate of the * ace 1400 and use the large screws complete with nuts and washer... Read More
Cons
It is one moulded circle of plastic - badly moulded, they are not even flat, the router rocks on its base when it is fitted. Only 2 holes matches the makita holes(4) does not fit our erbauer router.
The brass inserts are slightly undersized for the 2ba thread which causes the brass insert to spin. The only advantage of this is so you can spend a further £20 each on an inaccurate pressed steel guide bush from trend.

Competitiveness
A fantstic product that makes life easy
Worked fine on my festool 1010 router
This was a big disappointment to me because i have hitherto been very happy with trend products
But its the best of the only options at a even remotely sensible price

However i think that there may be manufacturing defect on these as none of the holes have any numbers next to them to identify which positioning hole to use that corresponds with your router

All the large and deep holes prevent a smooth sliding action over anything other than a perfectly flat and uniform surface

I wonder if the designers considered making the holes with a slight round over or supplying a tube of suitable filler to block up all the unwanted holes
