Pros & Cons

Pros

The travelpro bold 22 rollaboard weighs 8 pounds. The exterior straps are easy to adjust and really cinch everything down. It seems sturdy and the multiple handles come in handy.

The olive color, though a little more brown than expected, camouflages dirt and travel grime. I like the blue and black look as it’s very identifiable on the luggage carousels.

Two models - spinner and roller. The wheels are smooth and tackle cobblestone and uneven surfaces like a champ. In-line skate wheels and bearings are readily available.

Cons

Second complaint is about the tablet pocket, which is a nice felt-lined compartment on top - but has an interior lining that is rather shallow. It seems lightweight and cheap; tips over easily while trying to put a backpack on the trolley handle.

When it comes to luggage i tend to prefer the 2wheel upright versions to the 4wheel spinner versions

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

For me the two wheels are more protected and less likely to get snapped off or damaged during travel and baggage handling

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

However if you hang a purse or other luggage over the handles that extends over the front of the bold carryon you may run into stability issues depending on how heavy that purseluggage is the same would be true when using a spinnerstyle carryon

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

The pullout handle has a zippered cover for protection and i will be sure to zip this up if i need to hand the carryon to the baggage handlers at the gate

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

They still seem sturdy and zip smoothly but they are not as large

Inside the main luggage area there two additional mesh pockets and one waterproof storage pocket
