The firmness works great for for. I'm lightweight, but so far the padding is holding its shape without a problem. The top fabric is smooth, waffle-like, breathable. It even has a zipper so you can remove the cover for laundering.

Great cushion. I even have 2 of them stacked at the office. Finally starting to show some west so will be ordering another one.
Cons
This one is too soft and collapses easily. It's too bad, because the first one was outstanding. Buy something softer.
Horribly stiff even after 2 months. I'm 125 lbs and it goes partially flat within 12 days. Did not feel like memory foam at all.
