I don’t think my kitchen cabinets are super thin but they’re just a hair too thin for the already short screws that come with the trashrac i thought my cabinets were thick enough and so i started installing the trashrac but the first screw started to poke through the front of my cabinet so i stopped

Sunbeam needs to look at this issue and provide a different solution for people like me that have cabinets that aren’t thick enough to accommodate the screws supplied maybe changing the location of where the screws go would help as the outer edge of my cabinet is much thicker but the center where the screws have to go is the thin section

I’d love to give the trashrac 5 stars but i shouldn’t of had to go to such lengths to install it in my kitchen so i’m taking one star off for the hassle and also the tiny hole that’s now in my kitchen cabinet from where the screw poked through

I also ended up drilling through the cabinet door even though i carefully tried to measure the thickness of the panel

I love the simplicity and the concept of this item and have been looking everywhere to get one since the container store has discontinued it and even only having it installed for all of 10 minutes now id definitely rate it 5stars but the lack of including shorter screws that dont go through the cabinet door panel or some kind of spacer or any warning at all i have to take the rating down at least 1star and thats being generous as i now have a hole in my cabinet door

Update 9132016unfortunately several months ago it fell off the cabinet door

The panel on our cabinet door just isnt thick enough to support something like this and using the paint stirring sticks was doomed for failure

I cup pieces sanded them down and glued them to the cabinet door
