Has a bit of elasticity to it and the handle is nice with the padding it moves around a bit but its not hard to readjust itthe bags it comes with are awful though they rip at the slightest touch so i tossed them and replaced them with the bags i have

Great leash little rough on the hand of your trying to shorten it a bit to help control the dog
