He can bear weight to get in and out of our vehicles but when getting him out of our swimming pool and transferring him to his wheelchair is another story

Well imaging being mobility impaired or wheelchair bound you have no leg strength

It would always put a strain on my back to try to lift and hold him up to get him in his wheelchair

Just slide one end under his rear on the pool lift and set the other end on his wheelchair and he just easily slides on over

You cannot use it to transfer into or out of a tall vehicle

The board itself it very long which is good and bad but mainly it means we have to keep her further away from the bed using the board which seems like a strange design

The sliding disc is kind of nice but you need to pay attention more when using it

Maybe it would be more apparent the benefit if you are transferring someone heavier though
