It takes around 45 minutes for fullformatting regardless of the speed of the pc. It appears that these cards either work perfectly or fail miserably.
Gbi seldom format in the camera, usually just erase. Multiple attempts at recovering the images failed. Would not trust transcend to store any data whether photographs or backup of pc data.
It just gives me a cff err code and blinks the screen until i remove it. Tried reformatting etc. No luck at all.

While im glad that transcend is still making these lowcapacity cards for retrocomputing it is unfortunate that they are not tagged as boot drives

The way cf cards and ata hard drives work requires the manufacturer to burn them as bootable and these arent so they cant be used to replace the c drive of old computers only accessory storage drives
