Pros & Cons
Pros
The cover handle is metal so it gets hotter than the le crueset plastic job. The lid has ridges for “self basting”. It is a beautiful piece, bakes incredibly well at 450 degrees.
This is in incredible value and an amazing purchase. Beatsthe expense of the big names. I wish there were more products in majolica red.
The color is significantly lighter than it looks in the ad pics, but i think it still looks good. Gorgeous teal blue color too. More white than is pictured, but it's gorgeous nonetheless.
This is my first enameled cast iron kitchenware. Always use parchment so cleaning not an issue. Occasionally, i apply the same seasoning process but only while i'm cooking in it.
Cons
Do not buy this product from this company. do not purchase this. It is an absolute waste of money.
Highlights
Quality
At less than the cost of that overpriced french brand to go unamed lol the quality of this brand will allow it last a lifetime
We are careful with the enamel and it has lasted well with regular use
I am careful with the type of utensils used to stir in these pots
The enamel coating does not adhere well to this cast iron product

Packaging/appearance
All the advantages of cast iron with a top notch enameled coating
That early burn problem may have weakened the coating

Competitiveness
I do prefer the flat top design of staub but love the tramontina price
Just as nice as the more expensive brand
However 1 the colored enamel chips off very easily and 2 be aware this is made in china not in italy like my other tramontina products
I had used tramontina brand in other sizes and liked them
