It does what it says it will do. Mounted easily, sturdy clamp/mount. In my case, the antenna is mounted indoors right under a skylight.

However when the gps internal antenna has you within 11 feet and the antenna is 8 feet i dont think the antenna is the issue i just have a very accurate gps garmin chart plotter with only the internal antenna

I clipped the connector off the end to replace it with a typen coax does indeed seem to be pretty standard rg58 dunno why everything marine is white hope its uv resistant at least it was cheap

I am only in the bay area of the chesapeake but if you are going off shore i would recommend a much more advance antenna
