It increases my range to about a 50-mile radius. Works good on my outdated pro 97. Perfect for my scanner and a handheld 5 w tx power radio.

Throw this * on the roof of your car and hook er' up. I have an old house that has some plaster walls inside. Just plop it down on the top of the scanner and plug it in.

A frequent problem with these cheapie chinese antennas is the attached coax. No coax, no bnc connector or antenna base. Not really for driving.
