The archer c2 that was shipped to me was several firmware versions behind the currently released firmware from tplink so i would recommend downloading the latest version from their website and putting that on the router before doing any lengthy setup

I configured it to work as an access point only for wifi and use the ethernet ports for my desktop and both the wired and wireless internet is working great so far
