Let me reassure you, there is nothing to worry about. It really works very well as advertised. It is an economical solution if you want a substitute adapter or an additional one.

Cons
Don't recommend this little guy for gaming.
Don't buy this if you are using any semi-recent linux distro. If 'tp-link' is so technologically savvy it seems they would have software ready by the launch of a new windows o/s. Did not work with linux.
