    When i connected a 3rd-gigabit device, it showed connected at 1 gbps but it would limit the speed to 100 mbps.

    My application isn't very demanding, i'm connecting an av receiver, a blu ray player and a fire stick to a wired ethernet port but i see no reason why the switch wouldn't work for any application where you want to connect up to 4 devices to a router.

    Finally, i've seen other reviews that question which switch port should be used to connect to your router versus the remote devices.
