Ofcourse with night vision its always better to have some minor small light rather than pitch black for best results but still works
Im really satisfied with the quality so far but ofcourse its new so i have to see how it holds up in the coming months

Whilst it is alexa compatible you cannot view the camera through the alexa app therefore you need an echo or similar device however the tapo app is really easy to use so we have just kept with that

When they are home we simply unplug and pop it in a drawer till it is needed again

If you didnt want to do this you can use the privacy mode which basically deactivates the sensor

The other benefit for us is you can also set your phone to do not disturb but allow this app to still alert you to notifications which is ideal for overnight

We dont use an sd card with it or the cloud option as i only need it to alert me to motion which it is brilliant for

The only reason i would consider needing a card is if theres been an alert and you cant see anything when you open the app the sd card would allow you to access the recording
