Pros

The ac 2300 is able to max out our 50mbit internet on either band. Went from 8-25 mbps to 98-180mbps on my laptop using 5g. It handles all of our wifi devices very well.

The router performs flawlessly with no degradation. The web interface is much faster than most routers i've used. It adds a nice layer of security rather than be behind the standard isp modem.

Only negative is 2. Very happy with the router. I hope that helps with longevity. It's the second replacement tried after an asus blue cave that crashed frequently and was returned.

Cons

This router is bad. I find the admin panel is too cute and not sufficiently in depth to completely troubleshoot the router. When this router works it works great.

The problem with the router is on the ethernet ports, the wifi still works.

Very easy to set up with the tether app

The rtax88u sits on the side as i figure out what to do with the firmware too late to return it

The only way i am able to even log into the router is with the tether app for my phone

Using with additional tplink switch all plug and play worked perfect

This replaced a tplink c7 v2 that had intermittent problems streaming video around 4050 across the house through several wood walls

I started off with a trendnet ac2600 router with a qualcomm atheros chipset
