In hotels with open wifi and captive portal i set the slider for operating mode to the middle position it automatically connected to the open wifi you can login to the device and configure it to connect manually too if needed and i had my phone connected to the router over wifi and it passed through the captive portal from the hotel to my phone

Generally works quite well easy to set up but notice that when we connect a lot of devices we sometimes have to reset to get devices to connect which is a bit frustrating at times

It comes on automatically when i switch on the ignition and goes off automatically when the ignition is turned off

With a small usb modem attached to its own usb port it takes around 30 seconds to connect and then my android head unit has a 3g connection

Hello i read through many questions and reviews to understand this product even the product user guide to try to understand if this device can do the main thing i need which is to handle a login portal splash screen for a public wifi

First thing i did when i received it was connect it to a public wifi at my house

I then connected a second laptop to the travel router and that device did not need a log in it had internet straight away
