Pros
The same applies to premium cabin filters which make your blower motor work harder. These are reasonably priced.
The fit is snug but it fits. Fit 2011 rav4. Fits perfectly in 2016-avalon.
Cons
It's too thick, and won't allow the air box to close properly on my 2009 camry v6. The product is slightly thicker than the part it supersedes and causes the airbox lid to be almost impossible to close.

The footprint of this air filter 17801 yzz06 is the same as the original oem for a 2011 avalon but is made different

The 17801 yzz06 without pleat support in center will work but in my opinion not as good as the one that came with car

Just a heads up if you dont have this filter seated down fully into the lower portion of the air box you can still get the lid on but you will pinch and crush some edges of the filter

No it wont ruin the filter yes i have seen this 1000 times on vehicles that were last serviced at jiffy lube

Try to pull the upper portion of your airbox up so the back corner of it isnt preventing you from sliding the filter all the way back and down into position
