No sign yet of fading or wear. They are edged well inside with no fraying of the fabric along the zipper. I place my silk pillow cases in * bags for washing (on regular cycle) with my bed linens.

This pillow case is amazing and a great value. It fits my pillow well. The quality is excellent.

The worst that can happen is that it becomes a clean disposable item. Allows it to drip dry, you need to carefully iron because it wrinkles bad. Cheap and slippery. Very flimsy and not good quality.
