Pros

J-boxes are compact which makes stringing romex house wiring through them a bit cramped. Push in wire nuts are easier and faster then the screw on wire nuts that come with this. Simple easy clip on installation.

When your putting in a bunch of these that little detail really pays off. Lot more cheaper than the similar item sold in stores.

Cons

They are all flickering and flashing. Does not match the rest of my lighting. Lumens seem a little low as well.

But constantly replacing junction boxes is not my idea of a good time.

Easy to install brightness of light is great they don’t look or feel like cheap light very low profile

With these there is simply no heat either in the transformer which comes builtin to a an electrical box or the light itself

After turning off the power and the old light down i took a saw and cut out the junction box

Price

Not a big deal if you hand cut using their template that says it’s 4” as it’s actually 4 14 hence the inaccurate instructions

Competitiveness

I bought these to replace earlier torchstar led spots that i had installed a few years ago in my kitchen

I bought these from torchstar and another no name brand here on amazon

So these are great but i’d get another brand at the same cost with the push in wire nuts

Both light units are exactly the same and about the same price
