When you hook it to charger it shows its charging.
The menus are minimalistic, but the 10 year old figured them out pretty quickly. Bought these for my 8 year old grandson. My niece and nephews live these!

We live in a trilevel home and it’s hard to call on the kids from the first floor when they are up on the third floor

One weird thing is the belt clip plate is right over the top of the lid for the batteries so that was kind of weird trying to get the battery plate off with the clip in the way

Eventually i realized you can remove the clip but it did scratch the backplate when i got it off
