Pros
The glue and cardboard both work. This is a note pad and it does exactly what it is supposed to do. The only real issue is how flimsy the cardboard backing is.
Cons
The cardboard backing is very flexible, and gives little or no support. When you try to tear a sheet off of the pad - it just rips. Tops has a lot of nerve branding themselves the legal pad.
Every page ripped off comes off uneven and just ripped off the pad. Every other page has lines printed double/triple thick, and a bit smeared. Seems like they had an issue with the ink.
The paper is thinner, has a puckered appearance and is slicker to the feel. Paper tears unevenly. Unusable except for scratch paper.
Not sure if they were poorly manufactured or shoddily packed. The cardboard and paper just stink so badly. I assume it's a fluke, but i don't think i'll order them again.

I purchased this on amazon because it was the best price around
I am too cheap to pay the extra money for the glued top pads
If you are on a budget these will do

Paper was well packaged and meets all of my requirements for this type of paper
These pads were as shown described
Competitiveness
I prefer the wider top margin that this paper has as well
