Leather sheath is double stitched vegetable tanned steer hide leather. Sheath is very high quality leather, nicely tanned, and superbly stitched.

It has a nice balance point at the hilt as it should. Other reviews here attest to the functionality of the blade type.

The handle is micarta canvas scales with the rocky mtn. Tread. Good grip with plenty of purchase, with or without a glove.

The knife feels great in hand and will def get the job done. My cuts will attests on its sharpness. I love larger knives and this sticker is an amazing example of functional art.

Cons

The so-called lifetime epoxy coating is pretty much gone. Chronic corrosion problem creates durability issues.
