Rod is good quality and the reel feels smooth

This leaves the rod vulnerable to damage from any pressure put on the reel from outside of case

For the money and the ease of use right out of the box you cannot beat it

I really like this kit as the cost is low enough to start a fly rod kit

Got this for my nephew for christmas and the hubby was concerned it would be junk because the price was under 100 so he opened it

Ive been flyfishing for 50 years and own a bunch of fly rods from nearly worthless ones to one valued at over 1000 dollars

Contacted the seller and they were extremely helpful and offered the best customer service

A little more padding or a stiffer case material would make me feel a bit better packing this up for a trip
