This is great. It is not ideal, but since i do not want a permanently installed rack, this will do fine for now.

Slide-on-and-clip design for the bag that goes with this. It's a cinch to remove the bag when i park the bike. Bought this together with the mtx bag although they were treated as separate orders and shipped from different sellers.

The shoulder strap is handy too. Was tricky to do solo but got it after several attempts. Concerned about theft.

Love the versatility and light weight. Great quality and well boxed. The shims that come with it are awesome!

Cons

The quick release is incredibly badly designed. Directions say that you need a shim, but where you get this -i have no idea.

The mount looks great and works great with the topeak bags that are designed for it

Added the mtx d trunk and modified a 12 inch milk crate with the mtx mount

It comes on and off very easily with the quick release

Even with the added topeak defender fender i still have about 5 inches of tire clearance

Shipping

The rack mounts pretty fast and easy to your seat post and the frame supports also go on pretty quick

Competitiveness

The only drawback i can see is that youre limited to also buying a topeak pack to go on the rack

I am very happy with my topeak mtx beam rack v series

I also bought a topeak fender that simply attaches to the rack

I bought this rack with a topeak trunk bag
