It did need an adapter cable to connect to the new style temperature sensor

Construction wise it appears to be just as well built as original only time will tell if it lasts 7 years like the original which failed for electrical thermostat control which caused 2 cel codes and luckily failed wide open and the engine never reached operating temperature

I bought some liquid coolant put it in the reservoir and noticed it leaking from the bottom

I purchased that on amazon as well original mini coolant btw black container parts alone were being quoted at 200 but i ended paying 350 for repair labor

If the temp sensor on the top of the old thermostat does not have a removable connector that was my case it is necessary to purchase an adapter harness httpswww
