We have gotten this foam twice and it has held up well shooting a recurve bow at almost 50lbs
I shott the target at 10ish yards and the arrows were stopped well
My son uses another archery target but it needed something behind it

Its only about 2 inches thick so dont expect it to stop arrows on its own unless its extremely low poundage

It is not selfhealing in the sense that holes disappear but neither does it crumble after being hit repeatably in the same area

I shot it with an arrow having no point screwed in just the bare shaft and insert and the arrow went through and knocked out a chunk of target on the opposite side
