Others have written about getting this unit to work with win 10 and initially i thought that i had a similar problem

I loaded the driver and the additional software from the small disk but although it connected to the router it did not connect to the internet

However i uninstalled the disc driver and let windows find its own driver and after i rebooted my router the adapter worked flawlessly as good if not better than the pcie device that it replaced
