I ordered this microphone as i wanted an affordable mic to use for a couple of small projects with my canon 5d iii the built in microphone is pretty awful for anything further than lt1m away

I also tested it on my smartphone and desktop pc and they both recorded clear audio

The audio was by no means comparable to a full size desktop microphone however it was significantly better than the microphone on my camera

Overall this microphone does the job just fine it sounds good for the price and while it doesnt compare to a real desktop microphone its a major step up for anyone using a slr smartphone or laptops built in microphone
