Pros & Cons
Pros
The only issue i have had is with pairing the sat nav with my phone. Wifi downloads on the satnav straight from tomtom drive on the internet. My only grumble is updates.
Split screen lane guidance on motorways really useful. On the 6 screen, it's easier to see what you're supposed to be doing at a glance. It solves the mystery of why everyone suddenly slows down at various points.
The device has its little foibles. The suction cup is very good and simply twists to tighten. A thin unit easily situated on the mounting provided.
Larger 6 capacitive screen is a significant advantage over the 5 version i had before. Superior to other tomtom models which have the resistive screen. The touchscreen is excellent and i love the voice control.
Big 6 screen blocks some of the road view in a small car. The bigger screen is nice and clear with plenty of room to display all the information required without looking cluttered.
Cons
Great piece of kit but rubbish after sales support. It gives you no options for whether to go fastest route, motorways, tolls etc. I am an experienced driver of many years and about 3 million miles but this was probably the worst journey of my life.

Price
To top it off, it was half the price of a go 720 bought in 2007no all things go up in price!
Competitiveness
Love that it allows hand-free phone calls as well!
Easier to use than older model, especially getting updates.
Instructions were clear and linking it to my tomtom account was a doddle.
