These are very lightweight dry bags, but they are in fact waterproof. The seams are well-made and reinforce the overall waterproofing capability of the bags. All the seams are protected.

Sure if im going on a long isolated expedition and need the most durable equipment id want the sack thats constructed better with better material but im just a casual camper

Hell if i want to ensure protection from water i could nest a sack within a sack within a sack

As i indicated earlier because the fabric is on the thin side i wouldnt expect these to be highly resistant to tears and punctures so dont expect longterm durability to be great
