The traps don't actually catch the rats in the normal way, snapping closed and breaking the neck, which is a quick and humane kill. I suppose if the trap is anchored somehow the rat could not escape.

Good thing is these are pretty easy to load and safely disarm by pressing from behind away from the teeth and clean up

More expensive than the cheap traps but these work so well its worth the addsd cost
