Onedoor cages require both hands to open the trap door and then to fasten the door open during which time your body is very close to the now unrestrained animal

The worst ones have the release paddle in the center so when the cat walks in and trips it it can back out because the door doesnt close as it lands on the cats back

The tomahawk trap has the release paddle far enough back that this isnt an issue
