You press the purple button for the uv after you close the lid

I think that is a safety feature that you have to manually do it and it is not automatic because you are not supposed to look at uv lights

The light is small right about 2 x 3 box with the sensor on the top

The sensor has a plastic covered band on the back which bends over the toilet bowel rim

The box says there are 8 color options which is very cool however nothing about being used as a anti bacterial light as advertised on the website i saw it listed at
