Hat is a little big for the smaller size kiddos. Fit perfect for my chunky 8 1/2 month old. Was stretchy enough for him to bounce around in!

The 1-2yrs is like a 6 months or a 1 yr old t shirt. Fabric is very thin and different from the picture. It’s also very thin.
