This is on a us standard twin bed and mattress, with a soft top and mattress protector (making the mattress just slightly thicker than standard). The gap exists for one of two reasons. It feels sturdy and snug against the mattress.

Very sturdy even with my 20 month son flipping around it. He grabs the top and pulls himself over it all the time and it holds up.

These are exactly what we needed in our bunkhouse of our camper for our littles. We all sleep more peacefully knowing it will catch her.

The bottom rail pops out at the drop of a hat and is so difficult to put back on. There was no hole opening for the inside hole. Like it was never punched through. There is a chance of mattress getting ruined.

I couldn’t be more bummed.

Failed at step 1 when attempting to insert the long bolt through the outside corner hole and feed to inside hole. The pieces that came with it seem not to be able to assemble to fit the mesh back. I need a replacement and a refund from the manufacture...  Read More
