Pros

Life is good. Boy am i glad i did. Loving my tivo's. Tivo is the best. Thanks tivo for a great product. I can't thank you enough.

The most important thing is to follow the instructions. Everything works when we want it. This process could be improved.

Cons

Never worked out of the box - not once. The insult to injury comes later when you are stuck with tivo's monthly dvr fees you are under contract to for a year - for a system that never worked from day one.

The lag is minimal or not noticeable when changing channels pic quality is fantastic the apps work great

So far i have no problems with the minis

Only thing is id definitely recommend spending the extra bit to get a model that works with the rf remote

Great price worked wonderfully with my current full price system

Packaging/appearance

In case you dont know every mini takes a tuner to watch live tv from the roamio

Was nice to get a deal better than they offer on their website

I went back to the roamio again the mini was not hooked up and lo and behold an error message

Then i ordered the tivo mini to complement the roamio

Competitiveness

I now have 3 tivo minis attached to my roamio via network connection

I already had one tivo mini with my roamio ota and wanted to add another one to a tv in my den

I skipped the moca and used some dlink powerline network adapters and i have zero issues with bandwidth

I just had to give it 5 stars to offset the 2star and 3star reviews from other people who were burned by their cable provider
