Pros
Love the 1 piece design. Love the dual berrings. Eliminates the risk to rifling.
Shotgun model is sized properly for shotgun brushes and swabs. No more worrying about scratching the barrel with the ends of the threaded three piece rods. Use for my m1 and enfield.
Cons
However, deep in the fine print it says 17 cal and 20 cal are 5-40 threaded. The recommendation to use the 0. Bunche patch causes a jam in the barrel, both on the jag and the rod.
Does not come well packaged. Amazon needs to be taken to task on this because they are selling many items as new that are returns or that are damaged.

Quality
I appreciate the quality consistency and durability of tipton and this rod is no exception
The whole carbon fiber shaft and brass tip are coated in a high quality clearcoat
I know it doesn’t effect the use of the product and i will use it but just not happy with the fact they shipped it out like that
My advise save yourself some money and go with the smaller caliber you’ll need a 22cal will work fun in a 30cal barrel too

The tube is more important than just being packaging

10 minutes of polishing with this rod and some jbs bore cleaning paste finished with 30 strokes of flitz polishall from amazon

Like a few others have mentioned i didnt receive the top cap to the tube for the 22 caliber rod 40

I also didnt receive the bottom cover that goes on the end of the shaft when stored or without an attachment

You can hang it without the tube but darn it these are fragile
