I have bought two of these and depending on the module revision you get esp12e or esp12f the pin polarities may be reversed
I only observed this because the first mcu i got was using the esp12f module while the second was using the esp12e module
Overall an extremely useful module with a wide variety of applications
The module is very easy to write code for using the arduino editor and it can be powered using the micousb connector or from the vin pin or both
