Pros
Older macbook pro running high sierra os running on a 16gb of ram. The difference is night and day. Has given a new life to my mac mini mid-2010. Works flawlessly and turned my 2010 macbook pro into virtually abramd new macbook pro.
Easy install. It has noticeably improve the performance of my computer. Processing is way faster and this was a breeze to install.
Cons
Amazon stated package was delivered but wasn't. Second, incompatible or faulty ram module. Timetec ram, while sold as apple compatible, actually has compatibility issues with mac.

I have an awesome but old macpro 2009 and the speed has been an issue so i ordered this to do it myself

I upgrade original 2 x1g ram to 2 x4g wowto installyou need an eyeglass repair kit from dollarama to open screws of macfollow the instructions on apple website search “upgrade ram” different year different instructionsonce you put new ram plates in your mac before you fasten the screws of the bottom cap check and make sure you have done it properly and both ram plates are in correctly by1 turning on your mac and2 clicking on your apple icon “about this mac “3 under memory tab it should show you have two 4g rami had to take mine out and reinsert both plates three times because mine kept showing one was in only and you shut it down every time before you take ram outreinstall

The 2010 macbook pro has an official limit of 8gb of ram that can be utilized

However if you upgrade your system software to the newest version possible you can then use 16gb of ram

Using twitter youtube and a few webpages at the same time would result in slow downs and a sluggish behaviour

I also replaced the keyboard due to some liquid damage and it will time to get a new battery soon as well

Purchased this ram thinking it may work in my aging synology 712 since it met the required specs
