All timeguard products are labelled such. This one isn't. Increasingly distrust all amazon recommendations. Sadly this is backward technology, the cogs make an annoying background noise.

On doing so i found that one segment stubbornly would not press down

I then found that by setting the switch located on the side to override the programming i could then press this naughty segment down and then return the switch to the programmed mode

I could not find any reference to this in the instruction leaflet so perhaps this is just a oneoff peculiarity for my time switch anyway all was well

It is however a simple task to turn the ‘time of day’ dial to adjust the timer

The only improvement i can think of is for it to have an override to manually switch it on or off which resets at the next timed switching event

The segments are quite stiff to move

I bought one to try immediately threw out all my old ones from bq and replaced the lot

However although it is not noisy it ticks and so is not entirely silent either
